MPHO MPOFU – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Mpho is a 3rd year student at the University of Botswana studying Criminal Justice.She is a youth advocate with profound interest in making a difference in the lives of youths.She has worked with various Non-Governmental Organisations including UNHCR Botswana on a survey on behavioral change at Dukwi Refugee camp.
LENYORA SIHWA – FINANCE, MONITORING AND EVALUATION
Lenyora is a young lady driven to see change in the people’s way of life. She was inspired to join The Voice of Africa as she saw a platform that could allow her to advocate for the change she wants. She currently hold a degree in Operations Research and Statistics on route to acquire her master’s degree. Progress has to be monitored and evaluated to see where we stand thus my expertise to the organization.
DR I.S MALILA- PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER
Malila is a senior lecturer in Sociology, Criminology & Criminal justice Studies at the University of Botswana. He holds a BA (Sociology & Public Administration, a MA (Sociology & Social Policy) Msc (Criminology & criminal justice) and PhD in (Criminology and Criminal Justice) from the University of Botswana,University of Durham (UK) and University of Edinburgh (UK) respectively.He has been involved in social activism both as a researcher and an activist in Non-Governmental Organizations.The Voice of Africa will give him a platform in the research interests of his choice such as sentencing,youth offending and juvenile justice
THUBELIHLE MAFU – PRO AND GIRL CHILD EDUCATION
Thubelihle holds a Bachelor of science Honors degree in Journalism and Media Studies. She is also a human rights advocate and passionate about issues to do with the girl child and leadership. . She joined The Voice of Africa because she felt it was the right platform to inspire young girls never to give up on their dreams. She wants to speak for the voiceless and make a difference, she wants to meet those young people who have given up on their lives and show them that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel
PATIENCE SIHWA – SAFETY AND HEALTH
Safety and health is her profession as she has acquired a degree in Environmental Safety and Health. In her study she has realized that we paint the world as we want to see it yet millions of African people still do not have proper health water and sanitation facilities. She was driven to join The Voice of Africa to ensure the designing and carrying out of projects that deal with the health of our citizens.
NKOSANA NGWENYA – LEGAL ADVISOR
Nkosana is a final year law student at the University of Botswana. He was born and bred in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He joined The Voice of Africa because he realized that there are some youth and young children who are facing a lot of challenges, hence his motto is not only being the voice of Africa but giving a voice to the voice less thus with his legal expertise we are sure to fight for the rights of every individual.
DUMOLUHLE MABHENA – ADMIN AND GIRL CHILD EDUCATION
Dumoluhle has always had a passion for young people especially when it comes to the rights of the girl child and ensuring an education system inclusive of the girl child. She joined The Voice of Africa because it offered me a platform to live a dream advocating for the rights of the girls and youths.
